What we keep seeing

Fluted and reeded panelling has become the headboard’s quiet successor: timber, cane or painted MDF, run floor to ceiling behind the bed.
Colour is arriving as texture rather than paint. Sage, terracotta and sand are held in fabric, stone and lime plaster on otherwise neutral rooms.
Storage is disappearing. Full-height wardrobes finished in the wall’s own material let the room read as architecture rather than furniture.
