Jaipur's homes still think like architecture. Passages are designed, not left over; facades are composed; stone is treated as a birthright rather than a purchase. The city that taught India ornament now practises restraint, and wears it well.

Brass is the tell. It edges doorways, frames niches and catches the dry light the way it has here for centuries, only now against clean plaster and quiet wood. Craft is not being revived in Jaipur. It never left.
