Disha Bhavsar TEST — Quirk Studio TEST

Quirk Studio is the Bandra-based practice that has spent over a decade arguing for interiors as atmosphere first, plan second. Founded in 2013 by Disha Bhavsar and Shivani Ajmera, the Mumbai studio works across residential, commercial, hospitality and retail briefs, with a portfolio that now stretches pan-India and abroad. STIRworld profiled the duo on the poetics of space, and the description fits. Ocean Haus, with its sculptural curved staircase rising through a central foyer, shows the house language: restrained base palettes punctuated by texture, sudden colour, and one defining architectural gesture. Teak and stone recur. So does an experimental streak the founders openly claim. The work is vibrant. It is also meant to age well, which is the harder ambition.
