About
FADD Studio
Designers, dreamers, creators: the three-word self-portrait at the top of FADD Studio's Instagram is also the closest thing the practice has to a manifesto. Founded in 2012 by Farah Ahmed and Dhaval Shellugar in Bengaluru, the studio has spent over a decade earning its press nickname, The Non-conformists. Their grammar is maximal but disciplined, drawing on a contemporary Indian eclecticism that refuses house-style tidiness. Terrazzo is a recurring obsession; the floor that won EDIDA 2025 pushed the material past everything it was known for. Residences like Estate de Frangipani and commissions across hospitality and retail share the same instinct, a willingness to push form, colour and detail until a room has a point of view. The work is bold. It is also patient, built brief by brief, conversation by conversation, with a team that has grown around two founders still sketching.
